passport has to be sent to embassy in riyadh for visit visa for bahraini citizen or its given in bahrain itself from consulate???

I am an Indian Citizen working in Bahrain for the past 19 years.currently working as project Manager for an Interior Design Co.I would like to visit my friend who is working Ireland.would you please enlighten me what are the documents to be submitted to obtain a visit visa? Do you need any consent letter from my friend who is residing in Ireland in order to speed up the processing of it?Also how long will it take to process it? where will i get the application form & whom should i contact?
im recently applied for work throu my agent they told me my employer will send work permit, contract and other support documents for issuing a working visa here in Irish Embassy in Bahrain,to work in ireland, if he process my document will it be hard for me to join my new company in ireland when i come to your embassy to check my documents

Can I work as a doctor in Bahrain or will they arrest me for treating patients.
