I have been calling the offices of the Embassy for more than a week now, only gets a voice message stating office hours but the call does not get re-directed, the line cuts off. I have also send email to the address as per your website but also with no response. can you please provide me with contact details in order to get assistance?
regards
Good morning,
Good morning,
I am currently applying for my Portuguese passport.
I live in Namibia but my dad and I were born in Cape Town. The Portuguese Embassy in Windhoek informed me that I need to get my vault birth certificate and my dads vault birth certificate certified at the Portuguese Embassy in Cape Town.
Will it be possible to courier the documents to you?
Kind regards
Lucinda
Very difficult obtaining an appointment with VFS. Am now communicating via email. Why do they make it so hard to obtain a visa?????????
How do I contact someone at the embassy? The message on the phone is only giving the open hours. Do we need to come directly to the embassy to do the visa or how do we book an appointment?
Is there no way I can book an appointment on line like an Italian Visa? The message n the phone says the embassy closes at 1pm but the web page says 2.30. Does anyone know the correct process?
I phoned the consulate-general's office this morning BUT only the answering service and no one to assist with my call.

Hi
I please want to find out the cost of a Passport for a 21 year man, who's father was born in Portugal.
Regards
Why do we need to renew our id cards, before the passport. Nd in need to travel in short notice. Why not do the passport first. Nd later renew the id at later stage. Why we have to wait soo loong? ( 4 weeks for id. 15 days for passport). Doesn't make sense , pls explain?! Thank u
I have applied for 3 visas already when visiting my son in Madeira and shall be again applying for another one.
The Portuguese Embassy staff were fantastic. Pleasant and totally efficient, I had my visa on all occasions within 5 days.
